Professional Biography

Yueh-Yun Chi received her Ph.D. in Biostatistics in 2005 from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, followed by postdoctoral training in Biostatistics at the University of Washington, Seattle. She came to the University of Florida in 2007 as Assistant Professor with the department of Epidemiology and Health Policy Research of the College of Medicine. In 2010, she joined the department of Biostatistics of the College of Medicine and College of Public Health and Health Professions. Her methodological research has concentrated on joint modeling of longitudinal and survival data, time-course microarray hierarchical modeling, evaluation of diagnostic accuracy in the presence of verification bias, and statistical methods for high-dimensional inference. She has collaborated with scientists in the area of cancer research, diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, medical imaging, neurosurgery, neurology, and metabolomics.
